Smolensk – Airplane crash – Last Minute

Russia sent the transcription of the flight recording for 101- Air Force Polish Presidential Airplane that crashed near Smolensk on 10 April, killing Polish President Lech Kaczyński and 95 others.

There were disputation between the Polish minister of justice that declared that the documents would be made public, and his opponent Polish Minister of Interior Jerzy Miller, that also invoked that the Kremlin would block the release of the information based on Chicago Convention rules.

Two days ago, however, the transcript was released by the Polish government, and a PDF version can be downloaded at the official website of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of Poland. The Polish representatives informed Russian authorities about the publishing the transcript of flight recording. The full transcript may be find in Russian here. From reading the transcript resulted that the captain was in direct contact with the polish pilot that succeeded to land before, the meteorological conditions were communicated, and all the equipment on board were operational.

Finally, it was revealed that the aircraft crashed at 10:41 local time, instead of 10:56 as was previously announced .
