But why I decided to write about Ms. Angela Gheorghiu?

I would like to remeber, one more time, that we are in March and it the Month dedicated to WOMAN and their incredible performances. Angela Gheorghiu is ONE of the most special WOMAN that I ever heard in my life.

First time I listened Angela Gheorghiu when she was student, in her first year at Musical Conservator from Bucharest, Romania, and she was introduced by Arta Florescu, another remakable Romanian WOMAN, the woman that gifted Romania and the world with so many talents and voices.

In 1983-1984 Angela Gheorghiu, at that moment called Angela Burlacu, a beautiful young lady, was introduced for the first time in a musical TV show held by Iosif Sava. She sang Brindisi – LA TRAVIATA – Verdi. It may be somewhere at National Romanian Television a recorded tape with this event…

There were so many remarkable warm words spoken by Arta Florescu – well known for her exigent opinion-that  I was really surprised that such an important teacher would encourage such a young person. But when Angela started to sing I was unspeakable, my eyes and my ears where there and my body, my mind and my soul tried to catch everything and did not want to lose anything. It was on a Sunday, I had a date, and I was late, but not so relevant because during that evening I had a permanent voice in my ears, the voice of young and beautiful singer.

The life is strange and it is full of surprises:

– the school where I learned is transformed in a Musical school called “Iosif Sava”;

– I had in my extended family musicians: a pianist and a violinist and how knows what may happen in the next future…

– one of my teacher is was related with Tchaikovsky family and later the daughter’s teacher was a colleague for more than four years – for a certain time we exchange musical preferences;

– I had the chance to meet one member of famous family Bellini

and as I said the story is never ending, always is bringing incredible news.

Life was ups and downs, but there is nothing that may block us to recognize the talent and to offer a full support for them, in spite of the difficult times that we all are passing.

I keep my fingers crossed for the next performances that will be developed by Angela Gheorghiu!

Please let the music to come to us:
